09 Jan Schneps Community News Group Rebranded Schneps Media
Schneps Communications, parent company of The Queens Courier, Ridgewood Times, QNS.com, Brownstoner.com, The Long Island Press and a group of the largest events throughout New York City, has officially changed its name to Schneps Media.
A family-owned and operated business, Schneps Media has been a trailblazer in providing local news to Queens since its inception in 1985. The company will continue to bear the Schneps name, as it prides itself on being a family-owned business.
“We’re dedicated to providing the best quality products for our readers and advertisers,” said Joshua Schneps, CEO of Schneps Media. “We’re focused on bringing original, high quality content across many channels.”
In September 2018, Schneps Communications acquired Community News Group (CNG) and NYC Community Media (NYCCM), one of the largest publishers of community newspapers in the city. With the acquisition, Schneps Communications doubled in size and initially changed its name to Schneps CNG.
Prior to the purchase of CNG and NYCCM, the Long Island Press and Noticia LI joined the Schneps family, expanding the company’s reach into Nassau and Suffolk County.
Now, Schneps Media is one of the largest local media outlets in New York City, having expanded its presence not only within Queens and Long Island, but throughout Brooklyn, Manhattan, the Bronx, and beyond New York City into Westchester County.
Schneps Media continues to stay focused on their mission to lead the landscape as an innovative local media company that their readers and advertisers can trust.
