Nadine Homann
Nadine is the Founder of NH Design Studios (NHDS), a New York City and East Hampton-based interior architecture and design firm with an international clientele. The full-service, multidisciplinary studio offers services in high-end residential and hospitality design as well as commercial design. Drawing inspiration from extensive world travel and contemporary art, the firm’s vision is to create beautiful environments infused with functionality, comfort, and adventure. Prior to launching NHDS, Nadine was a part of several marquee teams at Skidmore Owings & Merrill, Peter Eisenman and Meridian Design Associates winning international awards such as the IIDA interior design award in New York, the NATO headquarter competition in Brussels, Belgium as well as the Holocaust Memorial Competition in Berlin, Germany.
Giving back to society is central to Nadine’s mission both personally and at NHDS. Her life’s motto is based on the quote by Mahatma Gandhi – “Be the change you wish to see in the world”. In 2010, she along with her husband Tarun founded their NGO “Gift of Water” (www.giftofwater-nt.org), providing clean and safe drinking water to extremely impoverished villages in India, serving the water needs of over 14,000 people in 20 villages. Nadine also serves on the advisory board for the NGO – “I-believe” and has been an active member of Rotary International for 21 years, having served as Club President for Rotary Club of Metro NYC, Assistant District Governor and currently as Rotary District Public Image Chair. Nadine is a regular guest Professor at Cooper Union in New York City and also serves on the Board of the Business Council at the Parrish Art Museum.
Nadine was born in Germany and educated in Germany, Netherlands, England and Turkey. She currently lives in New York City.
