Dr. Cameron R. Hernandez is an Associate Professor in the Department of Geriatrics and the Division of General Internal Medicine at The Mount Sinai Health System. Dr.
Hernandez completed his residency in Internal Medicine at St. Vincent’s Medical Center, Manhattan. He then completed his fellowship in Geriatrics at The Mount Sinai Hospital.
He was the Medical Director of Ambulatory Care at Mount Sinai Hospital where he was
responsible for the clinical operations of 75 hospital based practices. He was also the
Associate Director of The Mount Sinai Visiting Doctors Program for seven years, the
largest academic homebased primary care program in the country. In 2018, Dr.
Hernandez became the Chief Medical Officer at Mount Sinai Queens before transitioning into his current role as the Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer at Mount Sinai Queens.
Dr Hernandez’s interests include assistive device use in the elderly, hospital quality and safety, practice improvement and hospital administration.
