As Co-Interim Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer of
EIHAB Human Services, Joshua Thomas brings nearly two decades of experience in Human Services, and a deep commitment to enhance the lives of individuals in need. Mr. Thomas is responsible for overseeing operations at EIHAB’s New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania offices, including the agency’s wealth of services comprised of Day Habilitation Programs, Residential Services, and much more.
In his roles, Mr. Thomas works tirelessly to ensure that each program functions seamlessly and successfully meets State regulations. His biggest goal is to provide the best possible care for hundreds of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and to make sure that EIHAB continues to operate as a first-rate nonprofit agency.
Prior to his appointment as Chief Operating Officer in November 2018, Mr. Thomas served as Vice President of Operations. He has also held many other leadership positions at EIHAB, serving as the agency’s Assistant Director of Residential Services, before being promoted to Director of the program. Over the years, Mr. Thomas continued to move up the ranks, serving as Director of Operations before his appointment to Vice President in 2017.
Mr. Thomas’ extraordinary leadership has been instrumental in the opening of several group homes across New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania, helping individuals to become more independent and strengthen their daily living skills. Mr. Thomas also played a major role in the launch of EIHAB’s Long Island office, expanding the agency’s reach into many New York communities.
Before joining EIHAB in 2013, Mr. Thomas held positions at the Puerto Rican Family Institute, as well as PSCH, a human service nonprofit delivering comprehensive services to individuals with developmental and behavioral disabilities. He holds an MBA in Healthcare Administration.
